Blends and Digraphs Worksheets
A consonant blend is two letters whose sounds you still hear, like the b and l in "blue." A digraph is two letters that make one new sound, like "sh" in "ship." These blends and digraphs worksheets practice both.
Pick a sound set (L-blends, R-blends, S-blends, digraphs, or mixed). You get three activity pages: circle the sound, write the missing letters and draw the word, and a word sort, plus an answer key for each. Press “New worksheets” to shuffle.

Teaching tips
- Teach one blend family at a time (L, then R, then S) before mixing.
- Have students stretch the word out loud and tap each sound before choosing.
- Remind students that ck comes at the end of a short-vowel word (duck, sock), never at the start.
- Use the word sort as a center: students cut the words apart and glue them under each sound.
