Teaching tips
- Common Core 4.OA.B.4 asks students to find all factor pairs for a whole number from 1 to 100, recognize that a number is a multiple of each of its factors, and decide whether a number from 1 to 100 is prime or composite.
- Find factor pairs in order: try 1, 2, 3 and so on. Stop when the factors start to repeat.
- Remind students that 1 is neither prime nor composite.
