Fraction Worksheets
These fraction worksheets use pie circles and bar models. Students name shaded fractions, shade to show fractions, and compare two fractions. A fraction strips chart (wholes, halves, thirds, fourths, sixths and eighths) is included.
Choose halves, thirds and fourths, or go up to eighths.
Fractions: Name and Shade
What fraction is shaded? Write it. (Top number: shaded parts. Bottom number: equal parts in all.)
Shade each shape to show the fraction.
Fractions: Compare
Shade each bar. Then write <, > or = in the circle.
Fraction strips: use this chart to help compare.

Teaching tips
- Remind students that the parts must be equal.
- The more equal parts a whole is cut into, the smaller each part is: 1/8 is less than 1/4.
- Common Core 3.NF.A.1 and 3.NF.A.3 cover understanding and comparing fractions.
