Graphing Worksheets
Students read a tally chart, then color a bar graph or draw a picture graph with one box per vote. Five questions ask about how many, most, fewest, how many more and the total.
Choose 3 categories (1st grade) or 4 categories (2nd grade), a fall theme or a classroom activities theme, and press “New data” for new numbers.

Teaching tips
- Remind students that each bundle of five tally marks is drawn as four lines with one line across.
- The default 3-category graph matches Common Core 1.MD.C.4 (data with up to three categories). Switch to 4 categories for 2.MD.D.10 (picture and bar graphs with a single-unit scale and up to four categories).
- Take a real class vote and graph it together.
