Plural Nouns Worksheets
Students write plurals with -s and -es, practice the y to ies rule, and write irregular plurals that do not end in s, including ones that stay the same, like sheep and deer. They finish by using plurals in sentences.
Choose -s, -es and irregular plurals only, or add the y to ies rule.
Plural Nouns
Add -s to most nouns. Add -es to nouns that end in s, x, ch or sh. Write the plural.
If a noun ends in a consonant + y, change the y to i and add -es (baby → babies). If it ends in a vowel + y, just add -s (boy → boys).
Some plurals are irregular. They do not end in -s. Some stay the same! Write the plural.
Write the plural of the word in ( ) to finish the sentence.
- We saw five on the hill. (sheep)
- Three little ran under the porch. (mouse)
- The played tag at recess. (child)
- A flock of flew south. (goose)
